I believe that within every child, adult, and everywhere in between is the natural capacity to heal. Today we can be overwhelmed with messages telling us that we are not enough, or that we are too much, or that we are broken. Those messages are simply untrue. Growing takes work, relationships take work, and so does raising children. Healing is not easy, but the good news is you do not have to do it alone. I will meet you where you are and walk with you as your guide as you begin to heal yourself, your child, your relationship, and your family. I provide a judgment-free private space for us to do this important work

Finding the right match in a therapist is serious business.  I’m Alexa Griffith and I have been practicing mental health therapy in Indiana since 1999. I received my Undergraduate and Masters Degree from Indiana University.  I have been providing therapy in a variety of settings for over 20 years.  I enjoy working with clients of all ages and backgrounds with a variety of challenges they bring to therapy.  Everyone is welcome in my office. I like for clients to just come as they are and we will develop a plan based on you and your personality and needs.  I have experience using a variety of therapeutic approaches to reach many common counseling goals.

  I am able to utilize Client-Centered Therapy, CBT, DBT, EMDR, Family Systems, Trauma-Informed, and various other approaches when called for. I work with folks who are challenged by neurodivergence, grief and loss, trauma recovery, anger management, social challenges, depression/ anxiety, divorce/separation, LGBTQ, and allyship support.

Play therapy is to children what counseling is to adults. Play therapy utilizes play, children's natural medium of expression, to help them express their feelings. When children feel empowered to grow, they do. I am a Registered Play Therapist with extensive training in sand tray and child-centered approaches.

I can provide therapy when you need it, right from home. I can work with you through FaceTime and video conferencing, or phone for counseling and therapy. I can use Zoom, a HIPAA compliant private platform for your continued privacy or discuss what platform you feel most comfortable
